Chalk drawings solidify the message in the hearts of the audience for years to come. I often see people say they remember a drawing I did last time. That is the power of chalk art.

About Nathaniel Hendry

I've been doing chalk drawings at churches, camps, schools, vacation Bible schools and more for the past 9 years. My interest in chalk art transformed from heklping my older siblings prepare their chalk art materials to completing training courses with master chalk artists such as Matt Bowman, Peggy Esher, Rob Snow, and Raymond Dombeck. Now I have been able to host chalk art training days for aspiring artists.

Instead of using regular sidewalk chalk, I use specialty 1"-3'' specialty sticks of chalk with a full range of colors, including fluorescent and black light chalk. Beginning with a nearly blank page, I draw the entire picture in front of a live audience while giving the message. The program usually lasts 15-25 minutes, at the end of which I use a black light to reveal a hidden picture, powerfully sealing the message in the minds of the audience members.

Titanic, The Story of John Harper.
"Even God couldn't sink this ship," was said about the Titanic, but it did sink, and on its maiden voyage. But in judgement, there is always mercy, As the ship sank, he secured a place in a lifeboat for his daughter, gave his life jacket to another passenger, and calmly worked to assure the temporal and eternal salvation of those around him. His last words were,
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!”

Jim Elliot​s mission was to reach the Auca (now Waodani) Indians for Christ. He and four other missionaries landed on "Palm Beach" and called to the savages from their airplane, but when the Indians emerged from the jungle, they were carrying spears.​
