A Worthy Word

Looking down from the mountain [part 2 of 4]

12/29/2016

This is the second post in a series on understanding others. You can read the first one here.

According to Pew Research, “Republicans and Democrats are further apart ideologically than at any point in recent history”. People today are becoming further separated in their views from one another. Generally, we mostly socialize with people who share our views. Mainly, we think that people who believe differently on major issues are stupid.

What the Bible says about freedom

12/9/2016

Yes, all men have the right to be free. This right was given to them by God, and should not be taken away by man or government. Freedom was given to us by God. God gave Adam and Eve the choice staying in a perfect garden and enjoying this fellowship, or eating the fruit and dying

The simple answer to education problems

12/2/2016

Update: I have slightly altered my view since writing this post. I do not believe he Federal Government should fund homeschooling via vouchers. On January 28, 1986, the Columbia space shuttle exploded shortly after liftoff, killing the seven astronauts on board. Investigation revealed that a those in charge had been warned of faulty O-rings - the cause of the disaster - but had discounted the concern. They had succumbed to “groupthink”.

How Christians can impact culture

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  - 2 Chronicles 7:14

The pastor preaching at my church today preached a message entitled “God is able”. God still has the power to move in our country! Yet, Christians are losing America.
